In January 2014 Luke and Emily left their home town of Sydney to embark on an adventure across the globe.
During their travels, they were blown away by the beautiful pieces being produced in the charming communities that they encountered, pieces that were rare and precious back home.
Instantly falling in love with the indigenous communities, they were inspired not only by the by the skilled craftsmanship, but also the warmth and generosity of these extraordinary individuals. They wanted to give back to these communities and what better way, than to promote their exquisite craftsmanship, providing a steady flow of work for these artisans.
With Emily's extensive background in fashion and Luke's adventurous nature, combined with their shared appreciation of all things beautiful, they embarked on this new business endeavour together.
Previously Emily has worked with Australia's leading fashion brands including Sass & Bide, Ksubi and Oroton in addition to international names such as Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, House of Holland and Karen Walker, to create unique eyewear collections. She has a Bachelors Degree in Design (Fashion & Textiles) from the University of Technology Sydney.
Luke has spent years travelling and photographing some of the most interesting people and places in the world. He has collaborated on various creative initiatives working with Australia’s best musicians and artists - producing music festivals, long term art-based projects and landmark venues.
